Ajo e vështroi e lumtur. Uli degët e saj me lule dhe e përqafoi. Po i mbaronte koha e një dite.
Nëpër kraharorin e pemës, Flutura e Majit u ngjit ngadalë, mes luleve të mollës. Ndali te cepi i syrit të nënës. Aty ku po pikonte një lot. U kthye në lule ngjyrë molle që i mbuloi krejt fytyrën trungut. Hapi ngadalë sytë.
Pa veten në karrocën me rrota. Zëri i nënës e thërriste në livadhin me pemë. Poshtë mollës ajo shihte pranverën. Lëvizi këmbën. E hodhi në tokë. Nisi të hidhte hapat e parë.
Gjithë vendi u mbush me flutura, me ngjyra dhe zogj. Një nuse pashke e vogël iu ul në shpatull.
