Ky vëllim është një përmbledhje e poezive të mia që u shkruan kryesisht midis viteve 1982-1988. “Bëhu i Bukur, titulli që mban edhe përmbledhja, është marrë nga vëllimi im i parë, 1986, që tërhoqi vëmendjen e brezit dhe dha shpresë për një tjetër njohje. Një pjesë e këtyre poezive nuk mundën ta shikonin dritën e botimit në atë kohë, për arsye të censurës. Disa prej poezive edhe u hoqën nga libri, Sidomos nesër (1988), Shtëpia Botuese “Naim Frashëri” , pasi qenë botuar. Libri u pengua nga qarkullimi për disa muaj dhe doli pasi u ricensurua. Në një Plenum të Komitetit Qendror për Letërsinë, të asaj kohe, poezitë u quajtën “Re të zeza në horizontin e letërsisë shqipe”. Mimoza Ahmeti mbetet mirënjohëse për ata shokë dhe miq, studentë e më gjerë, që i patën në duar këto vargje, fletoret e saj të plota i kaluan dorë më dorë dhe nuk bënë asokohe asnjë kallëzim. Me sa duket, transformimet shoqërore ndodhin kur vetë njerëzit bëhen të vetëdijshëm për to dhe kanë bonsens për të pranuar ndryshimin.
